GROWING THROUGH THE CITY
2025 - series in process
“Growing Through the City” is my exploration of how the human body and the urban landscape intertwine — how we inhabit spaces that are not originally ours, and how they begin to inhabit us. Through double exposures, I weave fragments of bodies, trees, buildings, and light into layered portraits of coexistence. Each photograph becomes a meeting point between presence and absence, belonging and displacement.
This work grew from the experience of walking through unfamiliar streets and feeling both connected and foreign at once. I let the city grow inside me — its rhythm, noise, and silence merging with my own. In that openness, coincidence turns into meaning; the accidental becomes a sign of arrival.
I’m drawn to imperfection: the grain, the blur, the unpredictable light. By embracing these traces of instability, I mirror the sensation of finding home within movement. Each frame becomes a quiet act of acceptance — a reminder that even in states of transition, life continues to grow toward the light.
