92 DAYS
2025

The project “92 Days” explores the theme of liminality, approaching it from the perspective of processuality. In contemporary culture, which demands ever greater speed, efficiency, and constant results, we come to accept the pressure to live in “ASAP” mode as normal. We demand results from ourselves even before our bodies and minds are ready. We try to bypass the necessary liminal stages of becoming.

Within the framework of the project “92 Days,” I attempt to resist this acceleration: by taking a tool of instant results - the instant Polaroid camera, and placing its outcomes into a prolonged process, I create an oxymoron: photographs that exist yet remain unseen; moments that are captured but suspended.

During the creation of the project, I made self-portraits every day for 92 days, and before the photograph had time to develop, it was sealed in an envelope. In this way, I performed the act but did not see the result. And so it went 92 days in a row. On the outside of each envelope are written the date, a serial number, and a brief reflection. To the viewer who wishes to purchase an envelope, I offer the choice of deciding for themselves whether they want to open it and whether they want to show the image to me, thus inviting the viewer to step into the role of co-author.

By slowing the instant down to an extreme, I address both myself and the viewer with questions:

Can we endure the discomfort of incompleteness?

Can we allow a process to be a process, without demanding its immediate completion?

The project has been created as a part of the "Echoes of Unity" programme, which has been co-funded by the European Union under Creative Europe programme.
